Rene Kuziv, senior sales representative at Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau, acknowledged that the destination can be enjoyed by both parents and kids.

She explained: "In addition to the world-famous theme parks in central Florida, Kissimmee is a great base for exploring the great outdoors."

Ms Kuziv noted that some of these attractions will prove a worthy retreat from standing in many queues amongst sweltering temperatures.

When it comes to outdoor venues to visit, the expert pointed towards the Forever Florida eco safaris to witness horse back riding and wildlife pursuits, while Lake Toho presents plenty of opportunities to view special birds and fish species.

Of course, mums and dads looking to treat their kids when occupying villas in Florida near to Kissimmee will surely find entertainment at Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando too.
