Orlando villas 'to be popular once again this summer'
Orlando continues to be a popular location to visit in the summer, according to a study by the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), which could be an indicator of how busy villas in Florida will be in the coming months.
The organisation's 2011 Summer Hot Spots Survey found that the Sunshine State's resort was the chosen destination for 18 per cent of US holiday bookings.
Such a feat meant that it beat Las Vegas to top spot by two per cent of the votes, as well as eclipsing Los Angeles (five per cent), San Francisco (four per cent) and New York City (three per cent).
Commenting on the survey's findings, Chris Russo, president and chair at ASTA, said that "some things never go out of style".
Recently, an expert at Travelbite.co.uk showered Orlando with praise, noting: "It has everything you would expect to find in a big city, together with soaring temperatures in the summer and a pleasant climate during the winter."
