Orlando villa holiday makers can enjoy Global Lens exhibition

Holiday makers staying in an Orlando villa this October could enjoy a visit to a special film series that is taking place in the city throughout October.

The Orlando Museum of Art will be continuing to host the Global Lens 2009 feature over the next several weeks with selected presentations of the films included.

Art-lovers and film-enthusiasts will be given the chance to consider a range of arresting and thought-provoking topics in Macedonian entry I am from Titov Veles, due to show on October 9th.

Award-winning films have been collected for the exhibition from all over the world, with Argentina, Brazil, China, Ecuador, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Morocco and Mozambique all represented.

The organisers state that each film has been chosen for its "authentic voice, strong cinematics and unique cultural perspective".

Film admission tickets will also include general admission into the museum's other galleries, which could be of interest to culture-lovers holidaying in Orlando.

Currently, the museum is also hosting displays of African cloth, south American carvings dating from before the arrival of European influences and a selection of 20th century artworks by US painters.

Visitors to the museum can also check out the watercolour illustrations of Jerry Pinkney, which portray animals from well-known fables, such as The Tortoise and the Hare and the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing.
