Orlando and Miami are ‘popular holiday destinations’

Holiday makers look to be taking more time to plan their winter getaway, such as snapping up villas in Florida, if new research is anything to go by.

According to Tripology’s Third Quarter Travel Trend Report, people are planning their trips abroad in the months ahead further in advance, when compared to findings in last year’s report.

The report also highlighted that the US has been one of the Top Five Most Requested Countries to visit since the start of the year.

On top of this, the Sunshine State’s popular resorts of Orlando and Miami each secured places in the Top Five Most Requested Cities list.

John T Peters, vice president and general manager of digital strategy and travel at Rand McNally, which overlooks Tripology, commented: “Overall our Third Quarter Trend Report reveals a positive outlook for the winter travel season, as consumers continue to increase their trip budgets as well as their advanced planning of trips during this time of the year.”

Orlando has also been named one of the destinations in Lonely Planet’s Best In Travel 2012 guide, those planning a visit to Florida villas may be interested to hear.
