New law could lead to more Florida holidays

A new law recently passed in the US could lead to an increasing number of people taking Florida villa holidays and other breaks in the country.

President Barack Obama recently ratified the Travel Promotion Act, which is America's first national programme designed to attract more international visitors to the nation.

The initiative includes a number of elements designed to benefit people planning Florida villa holidays and other trips to the US, including a campaign to explain changing travel security policies.

Caroline Beteta, president of the California Travel and Tourism Commission, said similar schemes have already been trialled in some of the country's most popular destinations and have been successful.

"We have already seen the benefits of a public-private partnership in states like California and Florida," she said.

"Destinations and local communities across the country will benefit from a comprehensive national effort to market the USA brand. The Travel Promotion Act will help keep the United States competitive in the international marketplace."

Holiday makers can arrange Florida villa accommodation to see some of the state's most popular destinations, from the sun-soaked Gulf Coast to the family hotspot of Orlando.
