New iPhone app 'can improve holidays in Florida'
Britons planning a holiday in Florida could be wise to download a new app for the iPhone or iPod Touch that is designed to enhance their experience in the US.
Created by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors' Bureau, the tool allows people to access information relating to accommodation, attractions, events, shopping and special offers.
"It provides another avenue for visitors to acquire an abundance of information at their finger tips," explains William Talbert, president and chief executive officer at the organisation.
The app features a number of user-friendly icons, such as the About Me Now tool that offers details of local businesses and attractions.
A tourist map is also available, while an extensive calendar of events could be invaluable to those set to enjoy a holiday in Florida.
Key West, a popular spot for travellers to the state, recently urged people to visit as it boasts almost 365 days of sunshine a year.
