New complex planned for Florida
Brits heading on holidays to Florida villas could be able to take in a new sports and entertainment complex in the state in the future.
This is after it was revealed that the Orlando Magic team have plans to invest up to $100 million (£63 million) to ensure the venue is built.
Although still in the early stages of development, the complex would be located in the district of Parramore, near to the popular Amway Center.
Mayor Buddy Dyer commented: "We've always talked about that area in terms of a sports-and-entertainment district. I would hope this builds off the public investment we made in the Amway Center and continues the transformation in the southern part of Parramore."
Furthermore, Alex Martins, president to the Orlando Magic squad, believes that 300 permanent jobs could be created once the venue is opened.
Those travelling to villas in Florida in the near future may be interested in heading for a night-out at the Amway Center, which is hosting concerts by Enrique Iglesias and Josh Groban throughout October.
