Marvel at the night sky on a Florida villa holiday
If you're travelling to Florida for an Orlando villa holiday this spring you might want to head to an exciting night-time event taking place in Harmony.
The annual Dark Sky Festival is a celebration of all things astronomical and will give visitors the opportunity to marvel at the beauty of the night sky.
Harmony is located approximately 40 minutes to the southeast of Downtown Orlando, so is easy to get to for those hiring cars.
Since it's some distance away from the urbanised up parts of Florida, there is little light pollution, making it perfect for star gazing.
Taking place on April 17th, the event will give families a chance to peer through telescopes at the planets and constellations above, while expert astronomers will explain in detail what they are seeing.
Kids will be well entertained with a Mad Science show, a storytelling session and an Electric Energy presentation featuring a demonstration of a one million volt lightening bolt.
While holiday makers are in Harmony, they can spend time exploring the town's many amenities, which include parks, a golf preserve and a wide variety of shops and restaurants.
