Make a saving on a Gulf Coast villa holiday

Holiday makers planning Gulf Coast villa breaks this summer will be able to make use of a scheme offering money-saving opportunities throughout the region.

The Values in Paradise VIP card was made available at the beginning of May and will be valid until December 15th.

Holders can take advantage of thousands of dollars worth of savings at restaurants, attractions and shops.

People staying in Gulf Coast villas can pick up one of the cards for free at visitor centres in Naples, Marco Island and Everglades City.

The tourist board representing these destinations also highlighted some of the attractions that travellers can visit during a Florida holiday, such as the Naples Botanical Garden, which reopened in November last year.

Visitors can see cultivated gardens featuring flora from Brazil, the Caribbean and other regions, while a children's area invites younger visitors to take part in some hands-on activities.

Families can also head to Naples Zoo to see its diverse range of animal inhabitants, including Florida black bears and lemurs from Madagascar.
