Legoland Florida expects more UK visitors

The number of British visitors heading Legoland Florida while staying in Florida villas is expected to climb.

DoSomethingDifferent.com owner Oliver Brendon spoke at an event in London, run in conjunction with Legoland Parks, in order to promote the attraction, which will open between Orlando and Tampa in 25 days' time.

"Legoland Florida has a better chance of being included in customers' main itineraries than some other attractions," he suggested, adding that between five and ten per cent of UK tourists in Florida were expected to visit the site.

Legoland Parks managing director John Jakobsen added: "There will be over 50 rides and attractions in the park - it will be our biggest Legoland park to date and customers can also look around the 30 acres of botanical gardens from the former Cypress Gardens as part of their ticket."

Meanwhile, those booking Florida villas may be interested to hear about the opening of an Avatar-themed attraction at Walt Disney World Resort.
