Last chance to see classic attractions on holidays in Florida

Holiday makers heading to Florida this year will need to make the most of the classic attractions at some of Disney's theme parks.

Those using Disney area villas may have their final chance to experience the Skyway aerial trams, the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea submarine excursion and the future-predicting Horizons ride, as they will soon be torn down to make way for more modern, flashier rides.

Snow White's Scary Adventures at Magic Kingdom is one of the rides under threat as it is one of the last remaining from when the park opened 40 years ago.

It is set to be demolished and replaced by Disney's $425 million expansion of Fantasyland with the attraction expected to close in early 2012, so holiday makers in Florida villas have just a few months to experience the joys it offers.

Disney is currently looking to build on its staff numbers ahead of the Christmas rush as holiday makers head to Orlando to see Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, the Festival of the Lion King and Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade in the months to come.
