Holidays to the Gulf Coast 'set to be in demand'
More people are set to take up holidays along the Gulf Coast in the 12 months ahead, perhaps by enjoying a stay in villas in Florida.
This is the prediction given by TripShock.com, after the organisation studied its traffic statistics for the popular holiday region.
Greg Fisher, the market manager at TripShock.com, acknowledged that BP's recent marketing and advertising drive for the Gulf Coast has helped to boost the destination's appeal for holiday makers.
He added: "Although the economy is still recovering, the unemployment rate is slowly declining and more people have disposable income to spend on vacations."
When it comes to taking holidays to Florida, Les Calvert, director at Property-Abroad.com, recently urged Brits to consider buying property in the Sunshine State.
"Now is the time to invest in the US. I think we are starting to turn the corner – especially in Florida and the highly popular areas with European investors," he acknowledged.
