Taking a holiday in Florida this winter has been named as one of the best choices in the world for those who love to shop.
In particular, the city of Orlando is the place to be when it comes to hitting the high street – or, as is more likely across the Atlantic, the latest mall complex.
The destination in the heart of the Sunshine State has been confirmed as the US's fourth most popular option for winter retail therapy in the 2009 International Shopping Traveler Study.
International tourists in the city say shopping is their number one activity – quite a feat when Florida's theme parks and natural beauty is taken into consideration.
Perhaps one reason for Orlando's success among those who take holidays in Florida is its combination of traditional US malls with small and individual boutiques.
Another highlight for tourists this winter could be SeaWorld's Christmas celebration, which includes a series of productions and parades.
