Holiday in Florida 'for guaranteed winter sun'
People should head for a holiday in Florida – and, in particular, Miami – if they desire some winter sun.
The Daily Mail has highlighted the city, located in the Sunshine State, as one of its top five places for guaranteed warmth at this time of year.
Indeed, the newspaper recommends Florida as the ultimate place to soak up the rays in the whole of the US, suggesting even southern California may not be hot enough in January and February.
It suggests temperatures are sure to be at least 21 degrees C in Orlando and a few notches higher on the thermometer in Miami itself.
And while in the region, tourists may find there is plenty more to do than simply visit beaches and sunbathe.
For example, a trip to the Harry Potter theme park may excite plenty of travellers, with the attraction recently handing out 1,000 free glasses of the fictional wizard's favourite drink, Butterbeer, to guests.
