Harry Potter to make Florida holidays magic

Those planning fun-filled Florida holidays in Orlando next year will be able to add a touch of magic to their break by visiting Universal Studios.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is due to open at the Islands of Adventure theme park in the spring of 2010, bringing JK Rowling's popular stories to life.

Unveiling a first look at the new themed area, Universal Orlando Resort said it will be a "truly enchanted world".

"Guests will be able to sip butterbeer in Three Broomsticks, buy extendable ears at Zonko's and experience a state-of-the-art attraction that brings the stories of Harry Potter to life in a way never before imagined," it stated.

In an article for the Mail on Sunday, travel editor Frank Barrett said JK Rowling has seen the plans for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and is very impressed by them.

A visit to Universal's Islands of Adventure will be a must for any fan of Harry Potter during their Orlando villa holiday. Families could stay at Calabay Park, which is just minutes away from Universal Studios.

Of course the theme park has a whole host of other attractions on offer, including the Incredible Hulk rollercoaster and the Men in Black interactive ride.
