Gulf coast holiday makers can learn about black bears

Holiday makers staying in a Gulf Coast villa may wish to visit Black Bear Hammock at Naples Zoo for a roaring good time.

Unbeknownst to many, black bears are native inhabitants of southwest Florida and the new attraction at the zoo provides visitors with a chance to learn all about the awe-inspiring animals in a safe environment.

The Black Bear Hammock area allows people at Naples Zoo to watch some of the state's wild bears in one of the largest natural habitats in the US from special viewing areas.

As well as seeing the animals, visitors will also be given important safety tips on how to proceed if they should find themselves encountering any black bears in the wild.

Among the regions of Florida with native black bear populations are the Big Cypress National Preserve, Collier Seminole State Park, Everglades National Park and Picayune Strand State Forest.

For those who have had enough of nature, a trip into Naples will provide them with plenty of other great holiday opportunities including fantastic restaurants and a number of top shopping opportunities.
