Gulf Coast villa breaks to offer entertainment for car fans

Car fans might be tempted to pay a visit to the Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers during a Gulf Coast villa holiday this year.

The Florida attraction will host an event on July 30th to mark the 147th anniversary of the birth of Henry Ford, founder of the Ford car company.

All sorts of activities will be arranged on the day to mark the occasion, including demonstrations of Ford engines and an antique car show.

There will also be a special presentation by the Estates Summer Campers group.

Holiday makers who would like to visit the Edison and Ford Winter Estates should set off from their Fort Myers villas and head to McGregor Boulevard.

The attraction consists of the winter homes of Ford and Thomas Edison, the American scientist credited with inventing devices including the light bulb and the motion picture camera.

Visitors can explore all 17 acres of the riverfront estate and head to the museum to learn more about Edison and Ford.
