Get a taste of the action in Florida with live webcams
Brits heading to holiday villas in Florida can now get a taste of what awaits them from the comfort of their own home.
The Florida Keys' tourism authority has posted live feeds from more than 40 webcams located across the island chain on its website, including one which transmits pictures from the US's only coral barrier reef, which runs parallel to the keys.
Located just one hour's drive away from Miami, the keys offer "subtropical sunshine and turquoise waters", alongside "unparalleled diving and sport fishing", the authority said. The attractions can also be reached in less than two hours from Fort Lauderdale.
Unmissable experiences in the keys for those on villa holidays in Florida include swimming with dolphins at the Dolphin Research Center.
Those staying in Miami who fancy a change from the art deco architecture and sleek and trendy cafes can also head to the resorts of Key Largo and Key West for a dressed-down, casual dinner.
