Florida villas 'offer natural beauty for families'

Families heading to Florida villas will find a "thrilling" range of attractions and "a cornucopia of natural beauty", according to the state's visitors' board.

Jo Eckersley, UK public relations for the Central Florida Visitors & Convention Bureau, highlighted the "outstanding natural beauty of the area".

She explained: "[There is] a vast conservation commitment to wildlife, flora and fauna, with various family and nature-orientated events throughout the year.

"We've got 554 natural freshwater lakes, and they occupy about 135 square miles. It's a bit like a giant equivalent of the UK's Lake District, but with a great sunny climate most of the year."

Anyone heading to Florida villas in early October should check out Polk NatureFest in Polk County, between October 6th and 9th 2011.
