Florida villas offer 'ideal beach getaways'

When it comes to seeking out stunning beaches, Brits have been urged to snap up villas in Florida.

A writer at TravelBite.co.uk acknowledged: "Comprising all the elements of the quintessential beach break, Florida really has it all when it comes to this kind of trip."

However, with the size of the sunshine state, deciding where to opt for could be a chore, but the expert was on hand to offer some tips on the places to visit.

One sun-kissed strip to seek out is Florida's destination of St Petersburg, which boast the Guinness World Record for the most consecutive days of sunshine – 768 days.

Meanwhile, those taking up holiday villas in Sarasota are within a stone's throw of "glorious white sand" and home to some appealing Gulf of Mexico beaches.

Virgin Atlantic has also made trips to Florida villas easier, thanks to the launch flight of its new Airbus A330 aircraft from Manchester to Orlando.
