Florida villas: Many tourists booking holidays in Orlando
The resort of Orlando experienced a boost in tourism figures in 2010, new figures have revealed, with Brits being given plenty of reasons to seek out Florida villas there once again this year.
According to Visit Orlando, the location within the Sunshine State saw a total of 51.455 holiday makers descending upon it.
This is a 10.5 per cent rise compared to the 46.6 million tourists who picked holidays in the region during 2009.
Domestic visitors made up 47.78 million of the figures, while another 3.675 million were from people who travelled from international countries.
There is little surprise to see why families are choosing to snap up villas in Florida near to Orlando.
As well as the resort being host to such famous theme parks as Walt Disney World and SeaWorld Parks, there are also a load of theatres, museums and festivals to check out to gain even more entertaining thrills.
