Florida villas: American Airlines announces record customers at MIA

A popular carrier has revealed some positive statistics for its operations to Miami International Airport (MIA), which could interest those planning on booking holiday villas in Florida this year.

Statistics from American Airlines revealed that on March 12th, it boarded 39,283 passengers at the travel hub – a record-breaking accomplishment for the airline.

A day later, the carrier recorded 38,914 customers, which is now the second-largest result for it within a 24-hour period.

Marilyn DeVoe, vice president of American's Miami hub, commented that such results are a "tremendous accomplishment" for the airline.

She added: "Our flight schedule has been steadily increasing over the past years, and we know that these numbers will only continue to grow as MIA strengthens its reputation as a world-class travel centre, thanks in part to the North Terminal."

One reason to book up Florida villas this summer could be to experience a unique wedding ceremony, after Universal Orlando resort recently announced that it has joined up with well-known wedding expert Susan Southerland.
