Florida villa occupants urged 'check out Siesta Key'

Holiday makers who are searching for an ideal spot to enjoy a getaway have been encouraged to consider Florida villas around the state's Siesta Key.

Located in the region of Sarasota, the resort has received a wealth of praise from Erin Duggan, communications director at the Sarasota Convention & Visitors Bureau.

One place in particular where Mr Duggan has advised Brits to check out is Siesta Key Village, a location he described as "a great little spot".

"This is a strip that has a multitude of restaurants, retail shops, bars, et cetera. You can go high end for dining, or grab a quick burger," the expert expanded.

There are also an array of dance clubs and bars for couples staying in villas in Florida to enjoy once the sun goes down, as well as plenty of shops to buy those essential souvenirs.

Mr Duggan's recommendation came soon after Dr Stephen P Leatherman – aka Dr Beach - director of Florida International University's Laboratory for Coastal Research, placed Siesta Beach at the summit of the most recent Top Ten Beach List.
