Florida theme parks in demand throughout 2011

There are an abundance of holiday attractions to visit if families opt to take up a stay in villas in Florida in the months ahead.

In fact, plenty of these popular Sunshine State venues feature inside Travelbite's 50 Most Popular Travel Destinations, giving holiday makers the perfect opportunity to plan their getaway in advance.

A variety of amusement parks in Florida have been in demand over the past 12 months, if the research is to be believed.

For instance, Disney World Magic Kingdom welcomed close to 17 million people through its gates last year, with Walt Disney World Resort's Epcot venue hosting more than 10.8 million guests.

It was not just Disney which saw a boost in tourism numbers in 2011 though, with almost six million people visiting Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure and more than five million taking a trip to Florida's Sea World attraction.

Theme park fans who regularly take holidays to Florida were recently told how the iconic Jaws ride in Universal Studios has now shut down, with a fresh attraction set to take its place in the near future.
