Florida holidays 'great in the winter months'

Families hoping to enjoy a Florida holiday in Orlando this year may wish to consider travelling in the winter months.

According to travel journalist Nick Trend, the Sunshine State is a great place to take the kids this February half term.

He said that although it's a nine-hour flight from the UK, Florida enjoys cooler temperatures at this time of year.

As well as being better for the little ones, this could also suit teenagers and adults who are hoping to cram as many activities as possible into their Florida holiday.

He said that in February, temperatures peak at around 22 degrees Celsius. It's also the driest month of the year, so theme park visits won't be hampered by rainy conditions.

There is no end of things to do in Orlando, from Disney World and Universal Studios to nature walks and museum tours.

Those renting Florida villas in Legacy Park will be in? a great location to enjoy everything that Orlando has to offer.

Disney World is just ten minutes away, although fast routes such as Interstate 4 and the US 27 are close by for those who want to explore a little further.
