Florida holiday makers can visit Grand Reef in 2011
People heading for a holiday in Florida from the middle of next year will be able to add a marine-themed feature to their list of must-do attractions at the state's theme parks.
Discovery Cove in Orlando is planning to open its new Grand Reef universe from June, with plenty of ocean-related fun to be had.
The Grand Reef will include close-up sea life encounters and a submerged trek within the SeaVenture development.
Suitable for all ages, the attraction is set over two-and-a-half acres, with everything from paddling in shallow pools to deep diving and coming face-to-face with underwater wildlife on offer.
Some 125 different species of fish, sharks and rays will call the complex their home and each will be under the gaze of the public.
Those who delay their Florida holiday by an extra few months will be able to visit not only Discovery Cove but also the Sunshine State's new Legoland park, which is due to open its doors next October.
