Getting away to a holiday destination such as Florida is "incredibly important for families", an expert has suggested.
Allison Mitchell, speaking on behalf of the Orlando Tourism Bureau, said children love getting away from home for an adventure in new scenery.
Indeed, almost three-in-four youngsters rate a break as one of their favourite experiences, partly because it offers a chance to spend time as a family.
"We're all very busy and it just means that we get to get away without distractions and all really enjoy ourselves as a family unit," remarked Ms Mitchell.
Those who do choose a holiday in Florida as an opportunity to relax and spend quality time with their little ones may be particularly drawn to the Sunshine State's unspoilt beaches and vast theme parks.
According to recent research by the Orlando Tourism Bureau, 59 per cent of children would do their homework without being asked in order to go on holiday with their family.
