Florida holiday Halloween celebrations in store at Disney World

Those staying in a Florida villa this month and next may wish to check out Mickey's Halloween Party at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

Held on various nights throughout the rest of September and October, the not-so-scary event takes place at the site's Magic Kingdom, with celebrations starting at 19.00 local time.

Children will be encouraged to dress up for the Haunted Hollow theme and there will also be the opportunity for them to go trick-or-treating around the theme park.

This will be followed by the Boo-To-You parade, which will see all of Disney's most loved characters including Mickey, Minnie and Goofy dressing up for the occasion.

This will be followed by a grand fireworks display to round off the night, while families visiting the park will also be ale to enjoy all the usual rides and entertainment.

Today the world's largest media and entertainment group in the world, Disney was started in 1923 as an animation studio.

It continues to develop franchises that are loved by children around the world, including High School Musical, Hannah Montana and Pixar films such as Wall-E and Up.
