Explore the animal world on a Florida villa holiday

For families hoping to visit some lesser-known attractions on their Florida holiday, the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens could be a great choice.

As well as offering plenty of fun and entertainment for children and adults, a day at the park can also be an educational experience.

The zoo is home to hundreds of mammals, including Asian elephants, Amur leopards, black howler monkeys and two-toed sloths.

Reptiles and amphibians such as African bullfrogs, Egyptian cobras and American alligators also live in the park.

There are also a wide variety of exotic birds, from green-winged macaws to predatory bald eagles.

Demonstrations take place daily, allowing visitors to watch birds perform exciting tricks and learn more about elephants by getting close enough to feed them.

Children can also get hands-on in the Butterfly Sensory Garden, where they can learn about the contrasts between human and insect senses at special look, touch, listen and smell stations.

Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens is located in Sanford, so those renting Orlando villas within easy reach of the I-4 will be able to drive there easily.

The Legacy Park resort may be a good place to stay, as it is close to the I-4 ad well as being just ten minutes from Disney World.
