Explore Kissimmee on a Florida holiday

Travellers looking forward to a Florida villa holiday this year might be interested in paying a visit to Kissimmee, a city located just outside Orlando.

The local tourist board said that late summer is a "great time" to visit the destination.

Holiday makers staying in Florida villas can choose from a range of attractions and activities in Kissimmee, including Turbo's Race Boat Rides on East Lake Tohopekaliga.

Visitors are taken out on half-hour journeys across the water, during which they will reach speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.

Tourists can also head to Gatorland to try out the new Mile of Monsters tour, which will introduce them to fearsome predators such as Chester, who is known for his unpredictable nature, and tell the stories of ten alligators and crocodiles found at the park.

Nature lovers planning a Florida villa holiday this year can also set off on one of the excursions offered by Kissimmee Outdoor Adventures.

The trips provide the opportunity to see bald eagles, sandhill cranes, alligators, egrets and more.
