Experience Harry Potter's Forbidden Journey on an Orlando holiday
Families planning to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter during an Orlando holiday this year should not miss the opportunity to try the park's "real attraction", according to Guardian writer Georgia Brown.
Ms Brown recently had a sneak preview of the theme park at Universal's Islands of Adventure complex ahead of its official opening on June 18th.
She revealed that one of the highlights of the experience - an attraction that will "appeal to wannabe wizards and blissfully unaware Muggles alike" - is the Forbidden Journey ride.
Visitors are taken on a voyage featuring computer-generated images from a Harry Potter movie, which includes a Quidditch match with Harry and Ron and encounters with Dementors, giant spiders, serpents and more.
At the launch Ms Brown spoke to Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films.
He described the Forbidden Journey as "a ride like no other", adding: "It combines amazing new technology with 3D imagery, with life-size stuff coming out at you."
Families planning to book Orlando villas for a Florida holiday this summer will also be able to try out the Flight of the Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge rides at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
