Enjoy an array of sports action while on Florida holidays

Despite the American Football season drawing to a close, people visiting Florida villas can still pursue plenty of sporting activities during their getaway.

Sports reporter Mike Graham has told TC Palm that the Sunshine State has an array of exciting events for holiday makers to seek out.

Tennis fans, for instance, are sure to have an entertaining day out should they snap up tickets for the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships.

Held between February 24th and March 4th, the competition will feature the likes of Andy Roddick, John Isner and Pat Cash all showing off their skills on court.

Those with a keen eye for golf are also in for a treat, with The Honda Classic taking place at Palm Beach Gardens from March 1st until 4th and being headlined by defending US Open champion Rory McIlroy.

Florida is also the base whereby baseball heavyweights the New York Mets, the Miami Marlins and St Louis all train in anticipation for the upcoming season.

People looking to enjoy some traditional American sport while on holidays in Florida should also make note that the new Major League Baseball campaign gets underway at the end of March.
