Edgar Degas work being shown in Florida
Art lovers taking up stays in villas in Florida may want to check out a new exhibition which has opened its doors in Naples.
The Sunshine State's resort will be host to Edgar Degas: The Private Impressionist and features a collection of paintings from the 19th century artist.
Based at The Naples Museum of Art, around 60 items are to be displayed at the exhibition up until January 15th 2012.
Some of Edgar Degas' Products on show, which have been brought together by retired curator Robert Flynn Johnson, include eye-catching drawings and awe-inspiring lithographs.
Kathleen van Bergen, head of the Philharmonic Center for the Arts, commented: "We're very excited to have this here. I'm thrilled that we can have an exhibit of this stature in October."
During his lifetime, Edgar Degas was seen as a founder for impressionism in art, though he would often discard this reference, preferring the title realist.
