Eat great food on a Florida holiday

Contrary to popular belief, Orlando villa holiday makers will not be stuck eating burgers, pizzas and hotdogs during their Florida break.

As travel journalist Jane Tyler points out, there are actually some great dining options for families visiting the area.

In an article for the Birmingham Post, she said that although she put on a few extra pounds during her Florida holiday, she said the food she had eaten was some of the best she'd ever tasted.

Travelling with her family and visiting all of the major theme parks, regular food breaks were essential for the writer, who didn't have time to venture out of the Disney parks and resorts.

She was pleasantly surprised by the options on offer, which ranged from delicious lamb in the Animal Kingdom to tapas at Epcot.

"Along with all the restaurants we dined in, the starters, desserts and wine were top notch and worthy of any swanky London eatery," she insisted.

Of course there are numerous other places to eat outside of the theme parks. Those renting Orlando villas at Vista Cay will find some great restaurants on nearby International Drive.

The resort also has its own eateries, providing top notch meals for holiday makers who want to spend an evening close to their accommodation.
