Currency fluctuations 'another reason to book Florida holiday'
The recent strong performance of the pound against the dollar may mean there is another reason to book a holiday in Florida for this winter.
David Swann, currency strategist at Travelex, says the UK finance is performing well against its US counterpart - meaning good value for money can be enjoyed in the Sunshine State.
"Sterling has just hit an eight-month high against the US dollar, so the US is sure to be a popular destination outside the eurozone," he explains.
Among the top spots in the country to visit during the winter may be Florida, which promises not only some of the world's top theme parks for entertainment but also warm weather and bright sunshine.
Mr Swann's comments come after research by the International Currency Exchange showed British holiday makers are heading further afield to find good value for money.
It also suggested Turkey would be the key European destination this autumn and winter, as the pound strengthened against many major currencies.
