Could Florida villas offer the ideal honeymoon destination?

Many Brits who are about to tie the knot prefer to spend their honeymoon in a location overseas on a secluded beach, such as those on offer around Florida villas.

According to research conducted by HolidayExtras.com, 56 per cent of newlyweds have said that they would like to relax on a quiet coastline in a country abroad.

Women in particular are fans of beach honeymoons, with 61 per cent picking these as their ideal destination, compared to 51 per cent of men who chose the same option.

Furthermore, less than one per cent said that they would prefer to stay in the UK for their first days as a married couple, while a European city break was only preferred by nine per cent of respondents.

Sean Hagger, head of commercial at HolidayExtras.com, noted: "Your honeymoon should be the happiest, most relaxing holiday of your life, so it's natural that people want to spend it in a happy, relaxing place where they're guaranteed sunshine."

Recently, a writer at TravelBite.co.uk acknowledged that surroundings of Florida villas have a wealth of attractions to make for a "quintessential beach break".
