Check out the Fringe Festival on Orlando villa breaks

Holiday makers staying in an Orlando villa this year might have the opportunity to experience one of the destination's most popular and eagerly awaited cultural celebrations.

The 2010 Orlando Fringe Festival - which marks the 19th outing of the event - will take place between May 20th and 31st.

It is part of a proud tradition of fringe festivals dating back to 1947, when a number of performing artists who were not part of the Edinburgh International Festival arranged their own shows in empty halls and basements.

The Orlando event follows the original fringe philosophy of being uncensored and fully accessible to audiences and artists alike.

People enjoying Orlando villa holidays will be able to see all sorts of productions and performances during the 12-day festival, including live music gigs, dance shows, plays, art exhibitions and more.

The main venues on the programme are Loch Haven Park, the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre and the Rep Theatre.
