Celebrate Ryder Cup with golf holiday in Florida

With the Ryder Cup now only a month away, golf fans may wish to get in the mood for the contest with a holiday in Florida.

William Hill notes the public seem to be unimpressed with Europe captain Colin Montgomerie's picks and are backing the US to win at Celtic Manor in south Wales.

The Americans have been shortened to odds of 13/8, such is their popularity with punters.

But those who prefer to play the sport rather than bet on it could gear up for the Ryder Cup in the best possible way by playing on courses in the Sunshine State.

The south-east tip of the country is renowned for its huge range of quality venues, perhaps making a holiday in Florida highly sought after.

Kicking off on October 1st, this year's Ryder Cup will be played at the Celtic Manor resort, close to Newport, which in 2007 built nine new holes specially for the event.
