Brits 'eager to find new experiences on Orlando holidays'

Many British travellers are eager to find new sights and experiences during Orlando holidays and other breaks abroad but sometimes miss the opportunity, according to a recent survey.

Orlando Tourism carried out a poll which found that more than three quarters of British holiday makers regularly return to the same destination in order to experience attractions they missed out on previously.

Respondents estimated that they currently only get to try around 42 per cent of the experiences on offer during overseas trips such as Orlando holidays.

Two-thirds (65 per cent) said that they would like to try new activities and explore different options each time they travel.

Commenting on this trend, Simon Calder, travel editor of the Independent, said that people could get more out of their Florida holidays if they are willing to seek help from local residents.

"People should be far more focused on seeking locals' advice. You get that by asking people questions," he said. "The first rule [for] any traveller is to ask, and if you do that people are generally very happy to help you."
