Book an Orlando holiday to visit one of the coolest US cities

Travellers looking to visit one of the US's coolest cities may want to book an Orlando villa holiday.

A recent survey carried out by Harris Interactive for Forbes ranked Orlando in sixth place.

The poll asked 2,104 American adults which of the 40 biggest metropolitan statistical areas in the country could be considered the coolest.

Figures show that Orlando is home to almost 3,000 bars, clubs and restaurants, as well as 59 museums, theatres, stadiums and arenas.

The Floridian city also contains 115 galleries and concert venues in total.

"Many of the cities perceived to be cool have one thing in common: an abundance of things to do," said Francesca Levy of Forbes.

Britons booking an Orlando villa holiday in the summer might want to visit one of the city's water parks to cool off in the hot weather.

These include Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, Wet 'n Wild Orlando and Aquatica at SeaWorld.

Temperatures can soar as high as 32 degrees C in the hottest months of July and August.
