Book an Orlando holiday for a golfing spectacle
Golf fans considering a break in the US might want to book an Orlando holiday for the first week of December.
The 2010 Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour Championship will take place at the Grand Cypress Golf Club between December 2nd and 5th, promising an exciting spectacle for lovers of the sport staying in Orlando holiday villas.
Holiday makers will be able to see some of the world's best female golfers take to the green for the contest, which will offer $1.5 million (£939,849) in prizes.
The tournament will follow a unique format for the second season in a row. This will see a cut after 36 holes to low-70 players and ties and another cut after 54 holes to the low-30 players and ties.
Orlando has been named North American Golf Destination of the Year 2010 by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators - making it a perfect destination for golf fans, especially in light of the fact that there are 176 golf courses within an hour's drive of the city.
