Book a Florida holiday and sample the Pro Bowl

The Miami Dolphins may not be featuring in either of this weekend's NFL conference finals, but they will be welcoming a host of stars to the Sun Life Stadium for Pro Bowl 2010.

Some of American football's biggest stars will be at the event, which takes place on January 31st 2010, and is the biggest all-star event in the NFL's calendar.

Those enjoying a Florida holiday this month have a chance to buy tickets for the game, which precedes the Super Bowl game by one week, the first time it has ever been held before the championship.

Players are voted into the Pro Bowl by coaches, fans and the players themselves, with one team consisting of those from the National Football Conference (NFC) and the other of members of the American Football Conference (AFC).

Last year, the NFC won the game 30-21 to bring the series to 20-19 in their favour, thanks in part to a star performance by Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald.

The Sun Life Stadium is capable of holding 76,500 spectators for games of American football.

Beyond the Miami Dolphins, it is also home to the Florida Marlins (baseball) and Miami Hurricanes (college football), making it a top place for those on Florida villa holidays to visit while in the Sunshine state.
