Book a Florida holiday and have a spooktacular time

Halloween may have been and gone, but families booking Florida villa holidays in Orlando this winter can still have a spooktacular time.

At Disney World's Magic Kingdom, tourists can take a ride through the Haunted Mansion and spot some ghosts and ghouls.

As one of the theme park's original attractions, having opened in October 1971, it is popular among guests of all ages.

It has since been enhanced with new special effects and audio animatronics, making it more haunting than ever.

Riders climb aboard doom buggies, which carry them through the mansion to uncover the spooky surprises within.

They will pass through the stretching room, meet some hitchhiking ghosts and join a seance during their journey.

The ride is preceded by a walk-through show, meaning that queuing for the ride is as exciting as the main attraction itself.

Guests should keep an eye out for the funny inscriptions on the tombstones near the entrance of the mansion.

Those renting Orlando villas in the Disney area will be in the perfect location to spend a full day or more at the Magic Kingdom and Disney World's other theme parks.

Adrenaline seekers who enjoy the spooky rides may also wish to try the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios, which sees guests board a phantom elevator and climb 13 floors only to plummet straight back down.
