Book a Florida holiday and do Disney on a budget

No Florida villa holiday is complete without at least one day at Disney World, and two or three may be necessary to squeeze in all the attractions.

But this could be expensive for large families, so checking for special offers and promotions could help holiday makers save money.

In an article for CNN Travel, journalist Jason Cochran said tourists can get their hands on freebies such as parking tickets or food vouchers to use during their stay.

They can also buy multi-day passes for the whole family that will be cheaper than buying individual tickets each day.

There's also the Disney Transportation System, which shuttles guests to and from the theme parks and may be less expensive than hiring a car.

Of course families renting Orlando villas in the Disney area will be able to get to the attractions easily.

Those who really want to save money could consider visiting Orlando in the low season when accommodation prices are cheaper and there will be more deals on entry tickets, Mr Cochran explained.

He also pointed out that some Disney attractions can be enjoyed for free, such as the monorail over Epcot and the ferry across the water to the gates of the Magic Kingdom.

Disney area villas are all within a maximum 25-minute drive to Disney World and are close to many of Orlando's other top theme parks.
