Book a Florida holiday and check out the Panthers

Florida villa holiday makers have a chance to see some first-rate ice hockey action in the coming weeks.

On December 2nd, the Florida Panthers will be hosting an NHL clash with the Colorado Avalanche, while the Edmonton Oilers will be coming to the Sunshine State on December 7th.

Later in the month, the Panthers will welcome last year's surprise package the Carolina Hurricanes to the BankAtlantic Centre in Sunrise in what is sure to be a fast and furious encounter.

Now is a good time to see the Panthers in action as they currently site fourth (out of five) in the south-east division of the eastern conference, and are unlikely to be challenging for the Stanley Cup come the end of the season.

That doesn't mean there isn't plenty of entertainment to be had though, with the Panthers offering a chance for Florida villa holiday makers to experience one of the most popular US sports first hand.

They are currently on a strong run of form as well, having recently put six past the Buffalo Sabres and narrowly beating the New York Islanders in a hard-fought 5-4 victory.

Last year, they finished third in the division and ninth overall in the conference, just outside of the playoff positions.
