Book Florida villa for fun at Harry Potter theme park

Fans of the popular Harry Potter book and film series may find a stay at a villa in Florida is the perfect base from which to explore the young wizard's own theme park.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is owned by Universal Orlando, has hit the headlines again after handing out 1,000 free Butterbeers – the drink that features in the stories.

Indeed, the theme park is the only place in the world that people can try their own Butterbeer.

The attraction opted to provide the complimentary beverages to mark the fact it has now sold one million of the refreshments in the park.

Ric Florell, general manager and senior vice-president of resort revenue operations at Universal Orlando, says: "You can see the excitement on our guests' faces as they wait in line - and then the smile that comes with their first sip. Butterbeer is not just a beverage. It's an experience."

Another theme park due to open in Florida this year is Legoland, which is set to launch in October.
