Book Florida holiday early for bargain rates

A travel expert has warned those heading to Florida for a holiday over the Christmas period will need to book early if they are to secure the lowest air fares.

Stacie Van Dyke, writing for CNN, says people typically book their trip 30 days before departure, but that will be too late to enjoy prices at the lower end of the scale this year.

She notes Florida, as one of the US's traditionally warm destinations, will see a steady increase in prices as the temperature lowers and more people become interested in some festival sunshine.

That means those thinking of taking a holiday in the state may be wise to book as soon as possible - and securing a villa in Florida now could also be shrewd, for similar reasons.

Florida, located on the south-east tip of the US, was recently named by research firm Experian as the third-most searched spot for British travellers looking online for flights.
