As thousands of shoppers hit the malls and stores of the Sunshine State, Britons may be tempted to book a Florida villa and join the fun.
The Miami Herald reports many outlets got the US's biggest shopping day of the year off to an early start by opening at midnight today (November 26th).
Black Friday is held the day after Thanksgiving and may be the perfect opportunity for potential tourists to take a look at what lies in wait should they cross the North Atlantic.
Doral-area's parking capacity was met by 01:00 local time and general manager Pete Marrero told the newspaper it was "beyond my expectations".
Dolphin Mall and Sawgrass Mills both opened with "massive crowds" waiting to splash the cash.
As well as the state's iconic shopping complexes, people staying in Florida villas can also visit Key West, which this week said it will be hosting events almost continually for the next year.
