Be 'snappy' and plan a Florida holiday trip to Gatorland
Alligators are a star attraction in Florida, particularly in the Everglades where they draw tourists from around the world.
But families enjoying Florida villa holidays in Orlando don't have to head out of their resort to get up close and personal with the creatures.
At Gatorland, they can meet a variety of alligators and crocodiles and learn more about how they live and breed.
The 110-acre theme park and wildlife preserve is home to a boardwalk and observation tower, as well as a swamp and a petting zoo.
There are even special reptilian shows to keep visitors entertained and educational programmes to teach them about alligator conservation.
Gatorland is located between Orlando and Kissimmee on the South Orange Blossom Trail, so those renting Orlando villas in Aviana, to the south of Kissimmee, will be able to get there easily.
Aviana is located in a wetland area and is close to several world-class golf courses.
