Airlines improve service for those travelling to Florida villa

People travelling to a villa in Florida for a break in the sun over the coming months may be among those to benefit from a raft of improvements made by three airlines.

British Airways (BA), American Airlines and Iberia, which are all part of the oneworld group, have announced plans to increase access to cheap fares, ease the process of catching a connecting flight and make a wider choice of journeys available to transatlantic customers.

Miami Airport, where many of those heading to Florida for a holiday may choose to land, is one of the travel hubs set for improvement, with a team of specialist advisers set to be on hand to help travellers.

"Combined selling and scheduling means that we will able to operate routes that would not have been viable for us to operate individually," explains BA's chief executive Willie Walsh.

Air France also recently announced it is adding a new service to its schedule, with Paris and Orlando set to be linked by an additional flight.
